Lisa
Lisa grew up on a plot surrounded by animals so started ‘rescuing’ and helping them as a child. At 17 she did an internship in Port Elizabeth working with marine animals. At 19 she joined the Johannesburg SPCA as an inspector and eventually moved to the Durban and Coast SPCA.
After a few years she took a break from welfare and worked at Ushaka Marine World in Durban. She greatly missed animal welfare, so went back to the Durban SPCA for another year.
She then worked as a veterinary receptionist and eventually moved to Australia in October 2023 and is currently completing her Cert IV in veterinary nursing.
She has owned many animals over the years including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, a pet duck, chickens, fish and even mudskippers
She has 2 children, a Golden Retriever named Shadow and a Labrador named Charlotte.
In her spare time she enjoys taking her dogs to the beach and exploring Melbourne with her family.
